National City "How Sweet It Is Scholarship Tour"
The fourth year of the National City "How Sweet It Is Scholarship Tour" wrapped up last friday at Mercer County High School. It was the eleventh and final stop on the tour. Not only did the tour enable us to get great pics of you guys for this website and take the National City KHSAA Boys' Sweet Sixteen Championship Trophy around to these eleven schools, but it was also a chance for high school seniors to sign up for the scholarship National City offers to student-atheletes. It's always fun to see everyone's reaction to the big trophy. It might end up back at one of those schools permanently in a few weeks! The main purpose it to promote the scholarship, which is an amazing opportunity. National City Bank has 32 $1,000 scholarships that they award to 16 boys and 16 girls, one from each region in Kentucky. The winners are chosen based on four areas: academic achievement, leadership, citizenship, and sportsmanship. Overall, the trophy tour was a huge success!
Next step....gearing up for the Pep Tour!
